The Discover the Bible App is a Discovery Bible Study App and uses this approach. The studies are designed to use the same questions so that anyone can lead them, regardless of literacy, and if you have ever used it in a group context (as is the suggested approach in the help notes) you will find that these questions are extremely powerful to allow people who have no experience of the bible to explore the passage for themselves to make make massive personal discoveries about how the word can speak to them. The Discovery Bible Study Approach is a widely adopted approach around the world and has seen hundreds of thousands of people come to faith. I'm sorry that you didn't find the app helpful for yourself, but please do some research before dismissing someone else's ministry. The teacher in me just wants to cry at how badly thought out it is as there’s been no consideration to the question “what do I want the people using this to learn?” The title of this part of the study is “The Lure of Materialism” but again, no questions to specifically guide the reader.Ĭlearly there has been little to no thought put into the creation of this study. God isn’t mentioned! In order to discover anything about God from this passage I’ve had to create more questions that point to elsewhere in the Bible. Well, since the passage is Ester 1:1-22 the answer is nothing. ![]() I’m starting the “for such a time as this” study with some friends and have had to create three extra questions to help us answer the question: “What does this story tell me about God?”. ![]() This app asks the same questions for every study! There is nothing to help you get into the meat of the story being studied. ![]() I gave this one star because I cant give a zero star rating. ![]()
